Privacy Policy

VendorsHub ("we", "us", "our") operates a local vendor directory covering Ahmedabad, Gandhinagar, Vadodara and Surat, available at www.vendorshub.co.in and as an Android app. This policy explains what information we collect, why, and how we handle it.

Information We Collect

We collect different information depending on how you use VendorsHub:

If you're browsing as a customer:

• We do not require an account or collect personal information just to browse, search, or view vendor listings.
• Your selected city and area are stored temporarily on your device to remember your preference — this is not sent to us or shared.
• Anonymous usage statistics: we count searches, listing views and taps on Call / WhatsApp / Maps, together with the city, area and category involved. These counts contain no name, phone number, email or precise location. They are linked only to a random ID stored on your device (which you can clear by clearing your browser or app data). We use them to show real "trending" information and to tell vendors how many people viewed or contacted their listing.

If you sign in with Google (optional):

• Google shares your name, email address and profile photo with us. We use them only to run your account. We never post anything on your behalf.
• We store the vendors you save, your chosen city/area, and whether personal suggestions are on.
• Your recent searches and recently viewed vendors are kept only on your device, not on our servers. You can turn this off or clear it in Settings.
• If you post a service request, vendors in that category and city see what you wrote (service, area, date, budget, description and any photos you add), but not your name, email or phone. If you choose a vendor, only that vendor sees your first name, and your mobile number only if you tick “share my number”.
• Requests close automatically after 14 days. You can cancel them at any time.
• Messages between you and a vendor are private. The vendor sees only your first name. Our team can read a chat only if someone reports it, to deal with abuse or fraud. You can block a vendor in any chat.
• You can choose which alerts you get (new quotes, messages) in Settings.
• You can delete your account and this data yourself at any time from Saved & For You → Settings → Delete my account.

If you register as a vendor:

• Your full name and business name
• Your mobile number and WhatsApp number
• A 4-digit PIN you create, used only to let you log back in and edit your own listing. It is stored in scrambled (hashed) form that cannot be read back, even by us.
• Your business category, description, city, area, and address
• A Google Maps link you choose to provide (optional)
• A photo of your shop or business (shown publicly on your listing)
• A passport-size photo of you, used to verify your identity. It is not shown on your public listing.
• A photo of your Aadhaar card, used only to verify your identity before your listing goes live. This is never displayed publicly, and is stored in a separate, private, access-restricted storage location that only our verification team can view.

How We Use Your Information

• To verify that vendors are real, identifiable businesses before their listing is published
• To display your business listing (name, photo, description, contact details) to customers searching VendorsHub
• To let you log back in with your mobile number and PIN to edit your own listing
• To contact you regarding your listing status, if needed
• To show you, and only you, how many people viewed or contacted your listing
• To show you customer service requests in your category and city, so you can send quotes

We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We do not use your data for advertising or share it with advertisers.

Where Your Data Is Stored

VendorsHub uses Supabase, a third-party database and file storage provider, to store vendor information and photos securely. Aadhaar photos are stored in a private storage bucket that is not publicly accessible and is only viewable by authorized VendorsHub administrators for verification purposes, via a time-limited secure link.

Your Choices and Rights

• You can log in anytime using your registered mobile number and PIN to view, edit, or update your listing.
• If you want your listing or personal data removed entirely, contact us using the details below and we will remove it.
• You are not required to register as a vendor to use VendorsHub as a customer.

Data Security

We take reasonable technical measures to protect your information, including restricting access to Aadhaar photos to a private storage bucket separate from public listing data. However, no method of electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Children's Privacy

VendorsHub is intended for business owners and adult customers. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 18.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date.
